Lucas was originally an apprentice to Laurentius, who taught him alchemy and medicine. Lucas eventually becomes a close companion to Amicia and Hugo, as well as an apprentice to Béatrice. Little of Lucas' background is known, but he is likely an orphan or was given up by his parents.
